Jetson Nano SBC has the raspberry pi pinot and form factor. The only difference is it is using jetson.GPIO instead of RPI.GPIO. Will it e possible to provide mcc172 drivers for Jetson Nano. ?

The MCC DAQ HATs which include the MCC 172 are only compatible with the Raspberry Pi SBC. No additional driver support for other SBCs is provided.

I would like to start an acquisition on multiple boards simultaneously but started by software. Does the master device send a trigger signal to the slaves like it works for the clock? If not, can I trigger it by a GPIO from the RPi on the shared trigger line (GPIO19?)?

Answers

The MCC 172 is designed to operate with one or a multiple of MCC 172s, but an external trigger signal to the Master ‘172 is a requirement. Connecting the TRIG input to an unused GPIO is possible however MCC does not provide support or suggestions on how to implement that.

I would like to connect an IEPE accelerometer to a RaspberryPi and i was wondering whether de MCC172 includes any kind on anti-aliasing filter in order to satisfy the Nyquist–Shannon sampling rule over a frequency band of interest

Yes, the MCC 172 includes an anti-aliasing filter. Alias-free bandwidth is calculated using the following formula: 0.453 * fS, Alias rejection 100 dB @ 51.2 kS/s. For a single channel, the maximum sampling rate is: 51.2 kS/s/ch max. For a single MCC 172 HAT, 51.2 kS/s/ch × 2 channels: 102.4 kS/s max. For Multiple MCC 172 HATs: Up to 307.2 kS/s aggregate. This is dependent on the load on the Raspberry Pi processor and the SPI interface. Note: when using multiple MCC 172s on one RPi 4, 307.2 kS/s / 51.2 kS/s = 6 channels running at full speed. This equates to three, MCC 172 HATs operating at their maximum sampling rate per channel.

Answers

Yes, the MCC 172 will be compatible with the AC102 accelerometer that you listed in your question. The MCC 172 supports a 23 V max excitation source and a 4 mA constant current. As long as the accelerometer specifications falls in line with the MCC 172…which it does, you will be all set.
